Cyntros AI: The Next Generation of Network Detection & Response

Battle-hardened in demanding DoD environments where failure is not an option, Cyntros AI brings those same capabilities to other organizations ready to face these new threats head-on.

Adversaries are deploying AI-powered threats. Defenders need something more adaptive to avoid being blindsided when it’s already too late.Cyntros AI’s adaptive machine learning continuously learns from your environment, enabling it to recognize suspicious behavior without waiting for signatures, rules, or model retraining cycles.

Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

What is Network Detection and Response (NDR)?

Network Detection and Response (NDR) is a class of cybersecurity tools that watch your network traffic for signs of an attack, instead of watching individual devices the way endpoint tools do. Cyntros AI is an NDR platform that runs at the network layer, so it can catch threats that never touch an endpoint, such as lateral movement between servers or activity on IoT and OT devices that cannot run an agent. It works alongside your existing tools rather than replacing them, and with attackers now moving at machine speed, watching the network has become essential.

How is Cyntros AI different from Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)?

EDR protects endpoints like laptops and servers, but many attacks move through the network without being detectable by EDRs. Cyntros AI covers that gap. It monitors network traffic for unusual behavior, so it catches lateral movement, zero-day exploits, and AI-driven attacks that leave no endpoint footprint at all. Most teams run the two together: EDR on the endpoint, Cyntros AI on the network, both sending telemetry to the same SIEM or SOAR.

Does Cyntros AI rely on signatures or rules?

No. Cyntros AI does not use signatures, static rules, or pretrained models that have to be updated before they can recognize something new. It uses Adaptive Machine Learning (AML) to build a live picture of how your network normally behaves, then flags anything that departs from that pattern. That is how it catches brand new attacks and zero-day exploits that tools depending on signatures tend to miss, without waiting for someone to write a new rule.

Will Cyntros AI disrupt my network or require agents to install?

No. Cyntros AI is agentless and runs out of band on a mirrored copy of your traffic, so there is nothing to install on your devices and nothing sitting in the path of live traffic. It watches and analyzes without slowing anything down or adding a new point of failure. It works alongside your existing cybersecurity tools, and getting started does not mean a rip and replace of your current stack.

How does Cyntros AI detect threats it has never seen before?

Cyntros AI learns what normal looks like on your specific network and keeps that baseline current as your environment changes. When something behaves in a way that does not fit the baseline, it gets flagged, even if that exact attack has never been seen anywhere before. This behavioral approach is why Cyntros AI can surface novel attacks, zero-day exploits, and lateral movement that predefined detection rules may miss. It matters more than ever now that AI-powered attackers can find and exploit brand new vulnerabilities faster than anyone could write a signature for them.

Has Cyntros AI been independently tested?

Yes. In an independent assessment by Miercom, Cyntros AI detected 95% of the malicious activity that leading security vendors missed, and it proved 97% effective against the real exploits cataloged in CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list. The technology came out of years of R&D with the U.S. Navy and has run in demanding Department of Defense environments.
